Ethics policies detail the ethical conduct of journalists working with a member organization.
The Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) provides a code of ethics for working journalists. ProPublica and Voice of San Diego also publish their own policies on their respective websites. The IRS has a no-lobbying policy for nonprofits.
Member organizations are encouraged to post their selected code of ethics in full on their website. However, if another organization’s code of ethics is used, members should seek permission from the other organization to republish the code on the member’s website.
